don't get hacked

Here at TwoCell™ we subscribe to a bunch of security mailing lists. Most of the information we read on a daily basis is dry, boring and extremely technical. It's also information that could keep you from getting hacked or hassled. So we translate that information for you, and send it off by email.

Generally the volume of email is kept low, focusing on only the most critical threats. We stick to Windows XP or 2000 issues. However, the list doesn't cover the basics:

  1. Run a firewall. At the very least have Windows Firewall enabled.
  2. Run anti-virus software. We suggest Nod32 or Kapersky.
  3. Run anti-spyware software. I suggest using the free Windows Defender.
  4. Use Windows Update! Set updates to install automatically.
  5. Use a password. Your password should not be the same as your logon.
